Visiting us from out of town?

We offer an easy way to take advantage of professional eye care for both domestic and international patients

You deserve the best, wherever you are

Eye Institute has been providing quality care to patients from across New Zealand and internationally for over 20 years. We offer extensive services, including cataract surgery, laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK), corneal transplantation and intraocular lens implantation. We are a full-service ophthalmology clinic with specialists in glaucoma, retina, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy and laser vision correction. Our team is made up of highly qualified doctors who make it their mission to provide excellent patient care at every stage of your journey.

Laser eye surgery, also known as laser vision correction is an important decision. You want to know you are in the best possible hands.

We support both national and international patients with several initiatives to help you whilst you’re staying in Auckland to receive treatment. If you are from out of town or from overseas and would like to know more about how we can best help you, please call us or email us at info@eyeinstitute.co.nz. We can discuss which support initiatives and options will help make your life-changing vision procedure even more simple.

Take advantage of our laser eye surgery travel package, designed to make accessing our world-class, Auckland based facility as simple as possible for patients outside of Auckland.

Are you looking for the best laser eye surgery treatment? Are you based in Hamilton, Whangarei, Wellington, Christchurch or anywhere else in New Zealand? You can still enjoy all the industry-leading benefits Eye Institute has to offer. You won’t have to worry about the cost and hassle of finding accommodation in Auckland, nor will you have to travel back to Auckland for post-op care.

  • Laser vision correction NZ travel packages include:
Fast track eye procedure – spend just one (or two) nights in Auckland – depending on appointment and theatre availability
  • Free overnight accommodation with our partner providers
  • Local post-operative care provided by your optometrist where you live

Eye Institute has a dedicated vision correction facility, which uses advanced vision correction technology, and has a team of highly experienced vision correction surgeons.

We have many patients who come to us from overseas because they want safe, high-quality treatment and care. Fully trained specialist theatre staff will perform your eye procedure in a true theatre environment.

Our surgical suites are equipped with HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters, which can safely remove more than 99.97% of airborne particles.

We are also certified by the DAA Group Ltd, which means we have exceptionally high patient care quality standards.

We have a number of multi-lingual staff on hand, who are happy to speak with you in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, German, Hindi, Afrikaans or French.

We can also help arrange your visit. Please contact us for more information. We would love to help you make your vision correction treatment in New Zealand as simple as possible.
