patients with high prescriptions

outcomes for these patients. While some high prescriptions
are suitable for modern blade-free IntraLase LASIK laser
vision correction, some
are not safe to have laser and are better suited to procedures
such as Implantable Contact
Lenses (ICLs) or Refractive
Lens Exchange.
Dr Gray
has many years experience with all these procedures.
Celebrity
vision correction. With Dr Gray’s reputation, surgical
skills and experience, he has performed successful vision
correction surgery on many NZ celebrities and professional
sports people. Many staff members at Eye Institute
and Optometrists around NZ have selected Dr Gray
for their own vision correction. In addition, fellow
eye surgeons and their family members, have chosen
him to perform their own vision correction
procedures. For ethical reasons, patient privacy
is respected and they will not be named.
Dr Gray’s time is now almost entirely dedicated to his specialties
of Refractive Surgery, Refractive-Cataract Surgery and Corneal Surgery.
Dr Gray does NOT offer only one operation. While most patients
are suitable for IntraLase iLASIK
laser vision correction, some would be safer to have an
alternative procedure. Dr Gray has the accredited
training, experience and unbiased perspective to advise
which procedure is the best suited for every patient so
that they can achieve the best
quality of vision with the least possible risk.
Implantable Contact
Lenses (ICLs) are an example of a procedure that
offers better quality of vision and lower risk than Custom
LASIK for patients who have thinner than normal
corneas and high degree of near-sightedness.
