The
specialists at Eye Institute, in Auckland, New Zealand, are
acknowledged leaders in ophthalmology,
including laser vision correction, cataract
surgery and glaucoma surgery, and
also offer expertise in glaucoma
management, neuro-ophthalmology,
retina, squint, eyelid
surgery, eye
infections and inflammation.
More experienced in laser surgery than any other clinic in Australasia,
Eye Institute is also New Zealand’s pioneer of no-stitch cataract
surgery, and the techniques are
continually being refined. The clinic
features New Zealand’s
first purpose-built day-stay eye
hospital, ensuring enhanced quality
of care and keeping costs among
the lowest in the eye-care field. Free DVDs and brochures are
available
to answer common questions about
cataract and laser surgery.
With its sharp focus on patient care, Eye Institute does everything
possible to make your treatment worry-free.
All patients have a thorough
consultation to outline treatment
options and answer all questions.
While most treatments are day-stay procedures, some patients travel
considerable distances so the clinic
offers the option to stay overnight
at nearby Ascot Hospital, with
transport provided in
a courtesy car accompanied by a
registered nurse.
Multi-lingual staff can assist you if you are more comfortable
in other languages such as Cantonese, French, Gujarati,
Hakka, Hindi, Japanese and Mandarin.
To make things easier, a special finance
plan has been developed
to let you fit your eye treatment into your
regular budget.
Eye Institute is not involved purely with surgery. It also
maintains a complete lens service
with a large stock of contact lenses. You can
rely on us for advice, fitting and
ongoing contact lens care.
Easy to find, the clinic is close to the city with easy motorway
access. Parking is available outside the
door near the covered entrance,
and also in the basement handy to the
lift.
The clinic is air-conditioned and the reception areas comfortably
appointed. Friends or family who are
accompanying patients are welcome
to wait there, or to join in
the consultation.
